Frequency Specific Microcurrent
I first heard about Frequency Specific Microcurrent, also known as FSM during “The Body Electric Summit’ which took place in October/November 2019. I had been looking into sound frequencies for relaxation and to help with sleep, and had found and started using Wholetones (Better Sleep – which is amazing by the way). So, the whole thing about resonance and using frequency in pain relief wasn’t as strange as it could have been.
Training
I was so intrigued that I bought a couple of Dr. Carol McMakin’s books and devoured them in a matter of days. I bought “The Resonance Effect” and “Frequency Specific Microcurrent in Pain Management”. I was hooked! The next logical action was to learn how to use frequency microcurrent treatment, so I enrolled in a Core Seminar at the end of November 2019. I decided to become a registered Frequency Specific Microcurrent Practitioner, so I took the core exam, passed it and bought my first PrecisionCare and CustomCare machines. They were delivered mid December, and the day they were delivered was one of the most exciting days ever!
Testing FSM on Myself
I couldn’t wait to use it in on the Achilles tendon on my right foot which I’d managed to damage during a bootcamp class in September 2018. I’m not really keen on popping pain killers, and I was excited to try a more natural pain therapy without unwanted side effects. No matter what I did, I just couldn’t seem to get it better. This was most upsetting as it meant I couldn’t wear heels, even my beloved kitten ones or go for walks, as I always seemed to re-injure it. The snap was always so painful, and sounded horrible. Those of you with damaged Achilles tendons will no doubt know what I’m talking about.
Anyway, I drank 2 litres of water in about an hour got myself hydrated, which is important for conductivity. I then hooked myself up to my CustomCare and ran concussion (which made me feel very relaxed), then I moved the pads to my right foot and started running the tendinitis protocol. It took about an hour, and I started wondering if anything was happening as I couldn’t feel anything. I sat there anyway reading about dragons and other such mythical beings (yes, dragons), and after the protocol finished, I stood up and moved and wriggled my foot gently… N O P A I N! Hmmm…, maybe I didn’t move it around as much as I usually did. Commence more vigorous movement, still nothing.
It felt so weird not having any pain whatsoever after having pain for over a year. I very quickly got used to being pain-free, and convinced myself that my Achilles tendon must have been much better before I started the treatment. However, about 4 days later, I felt a familiar twinge (about 4/10 pain level) in the same area and although it was nowhere near what it used to be, it made me realise that my machine must have done something. I plugged myself back and got wired for sound, and about an hour later my pain was down to 0! It has stayed at zero since then which I’m so pleased about. FSM is just amazing for pain management!
In the following months after getting my machines, I’ve used them on friends and family members and on various clients with almost 100% success. There was one person with statin-induced neck and shoulder pain where we needed about 4 appointments and got the pain down from 6/10 to a 2/10. It wasn’t the 0/10 we wanted, but I’ll still take that as a win!
How to Access FSM
It’s particularly wonderful for pain management. If this is something you’d be interested in, then let’s get started.

I am interested in the pain relief that FSM can provide, having read Dr. McMakin’s “The resonance effect”. I have chronic pain in the hamstrings of my right leg and metatarsals of my right foot. It seriously impedes my mobility. Can you help with this sort of pain?
