What Is SIBO? (PLUS 4 Steps To Improve Gut Health)

Most doctors aren’t able to provide answers as to why people still suffer from and have GI symptoms. They may give a diagnosis of IBS or irritable bowel syndrome because they don’t know what’s going wrong. Many times what I find in my practice is that patients’ gut dysbiosis or SIBO has gone untreated. 

SIBO or Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth is when bacteria that aren’t supposed to be in the small intestines take up residency and grow out of control. This creates massive issues with digestion causing: 

-Abdominal pain, 

-Bloating, 

-Diarrhea, 

-Nausea, and even 

-Skin issues like rosacea!

Four easy steps to get rid of SIBO: 

  1. Get the right testing to determine food sensitivities 
  2. The first thing we do is to remove the things that are causing the problem. 
  3. Cut back on refined sugar, since high levels of sugar can feed harmful bacteria that take up residence in the gut. 
  4. Look at your toxic load.
